In CEP 460, my team partnered with the City of Mukilteo to evaluate and revise a set of public engagement survey questions. Our goal was to improve clarity, inclusivity, and accessibility, ensuring that the survey could better reflect the needs and voices of Mukilteo’s diverse residents. We analyzed the original questions, identified issues related to language, structure, and potential bias, and proposed revised versions grounded in community planning best practices. This work helped the city develop more equitable and actionable tools for future community outreach and planning efforts.
